Erst eisige Kälte, dann Mitternachtssonne: Am Polarkreis bereitet das Team den Flug des ballongetragenen Sonnenobservatoriums vor – und hofft auf ein solares Feuerwerk.
Langperiodische Schwingungen in hohen Breitengraden stellen einen Rückkopplungsmechanismus dar, der die differentielle Rotation der Sonne zwischen Pol und Äquator begrenzt.
Für seine Beträge zum Verständnis, wie das Sonnensystem entstanden ist, haben zwei Fachverbände Prof. Dr. Thorsten Kleine den Titel „Geochemistry Fellow“ verliehen.
