Das dienstälteste Sonnenobservatorium im Weltraum wird 25 Jahre alt – und trägt gerade wegen seines hohen Alters noch immer maßgeblich zur Sonnenforschung bei.
Seit Dezember 2019 nimmt die Aktivität der Sonne wieder zu, wie die NASA jetzt bekannt gibt. Dies stimmt mit Vorhersagen überein, zu denen MPS-Forscher beigetragen haben.
