Research Interests:

My research interest is in the field of Solar physics. In particular in the study of transition region and coronal dynamics and energetics from VUV spectroscopy and VUV and Soft-X imaging.
In the last 10 years I have been increasingly involved in the conceptual development, proposition, realization and operation of VUV spectroscopic and imaging instrumentation. I have been contributing to the EUI and SPICE (Co-I level) and Metis (Co-PI level) instruments aboard the Solar orbiter mission of ESA launched in 2020.  Currently, I am involved in the realization of the EUVST spectrograph for the
 
Solar-C mission of JAXA for which I lead the German contribution to the mission.
