Forschungsinteressen

I am a solar astrophysicist and my main interests are in solar coronal structure and dynamics, magnetic field evolution across solar atmospheric layers, and space-weather forecasting. In my research I combine multi-instrument observations, numerical modeling, and statistical (and machine-learning) methods to study solar flares, coronal mass ejections (CMEs), coronal loops, and prominence eruptions. I also work on observation-driven validation of solar and heliophysical models in support of the upcoming NASA MIDEX Multi-slit Solar Explorer (MUSE) mission.
