Forschungsinteressen

I am a physicist working in the field of biogeochemistry with a specific interest in the interactions between Fe and the CHNOPS elements. This spans terrestrial environmental applications (e.g. the long-term sequestration of organic carbon bound to reactive iron minerals in sediments) and planetary exploration (e.g. the long-term preservation of organic carbon as potential biosignature by iron minerals in sedimentary rocks on Mars). I am also active in meteorite investigations, In-Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU) and sample return.
