ISLiD Optical Alignment

High-precision measurements of the optical alignment in the Image Stabilization and Light Distribution unit (ISLiD).

January 15, 2021

High-precision measurements of the optical alignment of the new light distribution unit. With a theodolite, angular errors can be measured with an accuracy of one ten-thousandth of a degree.  Here, the so-called "master alignment cube" is calibrated. It will later be used to adjust the optical instruments relative to ISLID.
