Living Reviews in Solar Physics

Living Reviews are scientific open access journals, publishing review articles that provide insightful surveys on research progress in the fields they cover, and guiding readers to the most important literature in the field.

Its unique concept allows authors to regularly update their articles to incorporate the latest developments in the field. Living Reviews are available online only.

Living Reviews in Solar Physics was founded and until 2014 also published by the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research. It is an open access journal and is published online only. The journal is organized into yearly volumes, but articles will appear throughout the year, as they are ready for publication. The first volume appeared in 2004.

Living Reviews in Solar Physics is listed in the 2014 Journal Citations Reports by Thomson Reuters with an journal impact factor of 17.64 and thus ranks among the top journals in the category Astronomy & Astrophysics.
