Main Focus

I am a remote sensing and geospatial data scientist with extensive experience in planetary and terrestrial remote sensing, image processing, GIS, and scientific programming. My primary research interest lies in developing innovative algorithms and computational methods for processing and analysing complex remote sensing datasets, with a particular focus on automated feature extraction, scientific software development, and quantitative surface analysis.
As a postdoctoral researcher, I apply these methods to planetary surface investigations, particularly on Mercury and Mars. My research encompasses laser altimetry data processing, uncertainty estimation, digital terrain model reconstruction, and geomorphological and spectral analysis. In parallel, we are developing a framework for the spatial and temporal integration of complementary datasets from the BepiColombo mission, to support multi-instrument investigations of planetary surface properties and geological evolution.
