Science Programme
Conference talks and posters will be presented from Wednesday to Friday in six different topic sessions. On Saturday, the institute will host a Solar System School Career Day, aimed at bringing together current and former students of our school.
Guidelines for contributed talks
Contributed talks are 15 minutes long and this includes your talk, questions and changeover to the next speaker (approx. 12+2+1). We would appreciate it if presentations were provided on a thumb drive (PDF or MS powerpoint format, standard 4:3) and loaded from the computer in the auditorium. If it is absolutely necessary (ie. to play movies or animations), a laptop can be connected to the projector through a VGA or HDMI cable. If your laptop requires an adapter, please bring this with you. A laser pointer will be provided. Please be considerate of other speakers and stay within your allotted time. Session chairs will ensure that each session runs to time.
Guidelines for posters
You will be assigned a poster board when you register. Please set up your poster as soon as possible after you arrive. We advise you to prepare posters in landscape format, A0 size maximum. The first poster session is on Wednesday 13 September at 17:30. We kindly ask that you be present at your poster during this first session. There will be an opportunity to schedule a short 2 minute poster pitch during this session. During the second poster session on Thursday 14 September, you do not have to be present at your poster. Please remove your poster at the end of the conference.
