Traveling to Göttingen
Göttingen lies in the center of Germany and is easily reachable by a fast and frequent train connections.
You can look for and book train connection on the web page of Deutsche Bahn.
The closest airports are Frankfurt airport (FRA) and Hannove airport (HAJ). While Frankfurt is a big hub with many connections, Hannover is a local airport that is much smaller and in general more convenient.
Göttingen is well connected to Frankfurt and Hannover airports. There are numerous direct trains from Frankfurt airport to Göttingen (about 2 hours). Please follow the signs for long-distance trains (to Tracks 4-7). From Hannover airport you first take the local train S5 to Hannover main station (20 min) and then change to a fast ICE train to Göttingen about 1/2 hour).
Once you arrived at the station in Göttingen, it is a 5 - 10 minutes walk to the inner city, where most of the hotels are located.

Also, some hotels offer bikes (some for free, you will have to check).
Should you come by car, e.g. because you take a rental car in Frankfurt or Hannover, you will also have no difficulties getting to Göttingen. Driving from Frankfurt airport to Göttingen takes about 2.5 hours, from Hannover airport about 1.5 hours.
The motorway A7 is passing by Göttingen. Coming either fom the North or South, you can take the exit "Göttingen Mitte" (exit number 73). Then follow the signs to city center (Stadtmitte).
Note that driving with a car in Göttingen is not too much fun, and that parking is limited in the inner city and usually not free. At MPS there is enough parking space available (usually).
