Metal Structure Workshop

The metal structure workshop supports the instrument development amongst other, in the manufacturing of ground test setups (for vacuum applications) and supporting structures for integration campaigns.

Stainless steel, steel and aluminium are the main materials processed in the worksho.














 

The work includes the welding of complex components, high-frequency welding of ultra-fine sheets and small parts, as well as the production of complex sheet metal bending parts with a CNC press brake.








 

Preparing,laying and connecting pipes to supply the vacuum chambers with ultra-pure gases is also part of the duties.
