Welcome to my homepage!

I am an astrophysicist currently working as a research group leader at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Göttingen, Germany. My group is partially funded by the ERC Starting Grant PLANETOIDS. My work focuses on planet formation. We know that planets are a common phenomenon. Our Galaxy, the Milky Way, contains at least one planet per star on average. Nevertheless, we cannot satisfactorily explain how do they form! I use numerical models to explore scenarios that lead to the formation of planetesimals and planets out of small dust grains present in disks surrounding young stars.

CV RESEARCH GROUP TALKS

* Pronunciation: "dr-on-zh-kovska"; "on" is the same as in French "bon"; "zh" is the sound at the end of "beige"; you can do this!
* The correct LaTeX spelling of my surname is "Dr{\k{a}}{\.z}kowska" However, it doesn't work with the default OT1 encoding. In this case, either upgrade the LaTeX encoding (for example, use "\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}") or use the less correct version "Dr{\c{a}}{\.z}kowska"
