Childcare subsidy for infants
In July 2017 MPG launched a new pilot project: Successful Research at Max Planck – also with a baby. Thanks to the Max Planck Foundation, for the first time, from 1st July 2017, the MPG can subsidise the childcare costs of infants aged between 3 and 36 months for postdocs with a TVöD contract and PhD students with a doctoral support contract. The parents choose the type of childcare and get 50% of the costs reimbursed, max 400 EUR per month, after having provided proof of the costs. The pilot project is initially limited until June 2019. The funding for the pilot project is limited and subsidies are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
