The Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research conducts fundamental research in the field of solar and planetary sciences. For design, building, and testing of a digital electronic device onboard ESA's EnVision mission to Venus the institute is looking for a Product and Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d).

Your tasks

• Investigation and inspection of technical devices in accordance with ESA rules 
• Monitoring and evaluation of technical processes in accordance with ESA rules
• Maintain contacts to European partner institutes
• Documentation generation

You should have

• High motivation, problem solving attitude, be a continuous learner, and team player
• QA/PA experience
• University degree in aerospace engineering, physics or equivalent
• Working experience in product/quality assurance, ideally in space projects (ESA etc.)
• Fluency in English
• Knowledge in software QA desired  

Employment conditions

• The part-time position (50%) can be filled starting April 1^st 2023. Employment is initially limited in time until March 31^st 2027 with a likely extension
• Remuneration is according to the German public salary scale TVöD-Bund E13, depending on qualification and work experience
• Temporary teleworking can be negotiated
• Social security benefits are in accordance with the public service regulations.
