Each file contains tracked Dopplergram tiles 128x128 pixels on the day of observation as indicated in the filenames, yymmdd, i.e. "020405" = 5th April 2002

The "mrrmi" comes from GONG terminology. The appropriate latitude and longitude of the file is found in the headers.
